ENCOUNTER WITH AN ANGEL | ||

April 17th, 2001 I have been reading the Course in Miracles and doing the Workbook. In the text, Jesus refers a few times to seeing another’s interests and yours as the same. I never understood that until today. I was shopping in Kmart and needed some help in buying a light fixture. I looked around and my eyes landed on a male clerk with the familiar red vest on. He was on the phone talking to his supervisor when I came up to him. He acknowledged me with a nod and then told his supervision he had to get off the phone because he had an important customer. He then told me in no uncertain terms to “wait right there”. He finished his conversation and I told him what I wanted. The next 30 minutes was kind of a blur now but I remember him talking about how he loved to wait on people and couldn’t understand not wanting to help people. He had a lot of tags hanging all over his red vest with Kmart sayings and he kept telling me how to clean and take care of the item I was about to purchase. He just kept talking about how to take care of the 12 dollar light fixture and kept shaking my hand every so often. We kept parting when I thought we were done and then we found another excuse to be in each others presence. Oh yeah, and he kept shaking my hand. It was a riot. I knew something was going on beneath all of this. I felt it. I knew he had been sent for me. He pulled out a business card and handed it to me. It was a Kmart card with his name printed in by himself. I thought I would cry right then and there. By the world’s standards, he wasn’t very intelligent, had a low end job and would probably never rise to the upper management level. But what I witnessed today thru him is beyond words. He had a single purpose of service. He did not define himself by the world’s standards. He was the best of the best and you know what? He knew it!!! He told me so and gave me an 800 Kmart number to call and tell the management too!!! At last we finally shook hands and I left the store. Upon entering the parking lot, my legs began to shake and I began to weep uncontrollably as my experience began to deepen even more. I had just encountered an angel. My first one. I am certain. I was given the experience of meeting myself. Thru this angel I had and am currently having the experience of seeing myself as God created me. All I can tell you is that it is very joyous and humbling and very physical!! I have his card, in case I ever doubt this experience. I have been given a glimpse into Eternity today. Thank You Father!!! My only wish right now is that this experience will help facilitate the experience of awakening in you. God Bless You and He is!!! |
