"THE DOCTOR WAS COMPLETELY BAFFLED" | |
|
This story happened about six years ago. I had been doing the routine pap smears for years when, I was diagnosed with HPV (human paplome virus), a sexually transmitted wart that is a precursor to cervical cancer. I had to monitor this condition every three months and sure enough, the severity of the growths began increasing until I was a Category 3. At this point, I was sent for a biopsy to determine if the growths were malignant. The doctor had a camera and monitor set up so I could see everything she was doing. She seemed to really enjoy showing me all the warts and finally she came upon a large one on my cervix. I watched her take this bizarre looking tool and pinch off a piece of it and put it in a dish to send to the lab. She followed up by saying I would Definitely want the laserscopy surgery to peel off all the growths if they weren't cancerous. I had a two week appointment set up and, needless to say, I went home very shaken up. I told my partner about all that had happened and we were just sitting quietly on the bed when a white, bright heat occurred in my lower belly and pubic area. It only lasted a few moments and then I was left with the tingles. I knew that everything about me had just changed and there was no way to explain it. Two weeks later, I just laughed when the doctor sat baffled and confessed she was embarrassed to say that the lab tests had determined that the sample was a perfectly normal, healthy piece of tissue! And that's the last I heard of Category 3 growths on my cervix!! Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!! Thanks for letting me Share these... R.W. - U.S.A. |
