"I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS GLORY."

I was in India, New Delhi, driving in a Riksha-taxi towards the embassy. Riksha drivers are rather famous for driving longer distances than you asked for and demanding much more money then their regular price. The moment I sat down in the vehicle I was already suspicious about the driver. He looked poor and dirty. And so was I sitting on the backseat, being more and more angry with the driver, who was whistling a song, knowing nothing about  my hateful thoughts about him.

I had started doing the workbook-lessons of "A Course in Miracles" just a couple of weeks ago. And suddenly while my angry thoughts about the Riksha driver where circling in my head,  I heard the lesson 23 loud and clear in my mind: "I can escape from this world by giving up attack thoughts." I had no clue what hit me, but everything I looked upon was literally changed. The streets, the houses, the people, the vehicle and even the driver were all shining in a warm bright blue light. My feelings now toward the driver I could only describe as "being in love". Everything was so beautiful and I was part of this beauty. I was so overwhelmed, I just leant forward and hugged and kissed the driver, I was so grateful. He was very surprised and then he just smiled at me.

I don't know what had happened, but this sudden experience literally just blew my mind. From that moment on I looked different upon everything. I  was not the same. A burden had been lifted from me . I saw the light that is shining behind everything that I see and I will  never forget this glory.
