''A MIRACLE HAD HEALED ME'' | |
|
When I was a child I liked to be out in the nature. And when I was elder, I went camping a lot. Once I went with a friend of mine to a Greek island for the holidays. We had put up our tent on a beautiful mountain plateau and we were enjoying hiking. One morning I got up very early with the need to go to the toilet. Of course there were no real toilets anywhere by our romantic camping spot. And so I went for a little walk and found the perfect spot for my morning business. I had just pulled down my pants and moved my foot a little , when I recognized, that I was falling down the rock. I had not seen, that I had been so close to the edge. Well, I literally saw my life flashing before my eyes. I said to myself: "OK. this is it...". The falling seemed go on forever. I was sure, I was going to die. The next thing I remembered was that I was stuck with my legs in a gap in a rock. To my left it was going steep down. I looked up the rock wall and I realized, that I was so lucky to hit the rock, and that I didn't fall any further down, because that would have been a long way. I somehow got myself out of that gap, but I could not even crawl, my lower back and my legs were completely paralyzed. So I was just laying there. All over sudden I heard a voice talking in Greek. I looked up and saw that it was an old man. I couldn't even say anything, because my breathing was somehow difficult. (apart from the fact that my Greek was only "Yes", "Good evening" and "Thank you"). He immediately laid his hands on my lower back and suddenly a huge wave of tingling energy shot through my whole body and I screamed, I was so surprised. I could breath again and the old man just took me and put me up on my legs. Boy, was I astonished, I could walk again. He helped me to get back to our tent, half me walking, half him holding me. I was overwhelmed by his love and care for me. I didn't feel any pain, I was just exhausted. When he left, he said a word in his language to me. My friend looked it up in the dictionary. It meant "healed". I was so super grateful, for this man who appeared out of nowhere to heal me. A miracle had healed me. The next day, my body was, as if nothing happened. What stayed with me, was a feeling of being taken care of by something much bigger than me, that loves me and that will always be with me. P.E. - Austria |
