I had Asthma as a child, and also very intense allergies. I was intensely allergic to everything and any exercise would cause me to have very bad asthma attacks. Many times I thought I was going to die during those attacks. As I got older I got more and more weary of being sick and dying all the time and finally when I was seventeen I went hiking with a family member in the mountains knowing that the lack of oxygen in the high altitude and the physical exertion would "bring about my death". I came down from the mountain and my attack was starting. I told everyone that I was going to take a nap, and went into our van to die. Something else happened. 

As I lay there almost like half dreaming, this cool energizing light began to shine inside the van and then started to shine into my lungs and body. I felt the physical pressure fade away and suddenly I could not feel my body at all, only an infinite expanse of cool clear knowingness and feeling of being in the whole universe. Someone or something was talking with me directly mind to mind, and somehow we decided that I had to come back to finish up some details. I remember telling "the light" I could not go on with my sick dying body, and I was told it would be taken care of. I don't know how long I was gone, it felt like I was out forever or a moment, and then I was back three hours later.

I sat up in the van feeling the freshest I could ever remember being. I was shocked I was not dead. I discovered that whatever happened, my asthma and allergies were permanently gone. Somehow I came back with the understanding that my sickness was caused by my refusal to express and look at my anger. I felt that it was now important to begin forgiving everything. I then found the Course In Miracles, and thank God. It has helped me in this process. I am so grateful, I have come to see that there really is no death, we are not our bodies, and that we can be healed by changing our minds. Thank you God, thank you Universe, Thank you Jesus. I will never stop singing, dancing, and laughing.
