July 25, 1999 When I was in my early twenties and my wife left me for another man I attempted suicide. This was done by driving myself off a cliff. As I drove myself to my impending doom, I hit a metal fence and the car was balanced between the precipice and the fence. My chest was crushed against the steering wheel. Prior to crushing at that time I had an out-of-body experience where I felt tremendous peace. While in hospital recuperating I became focused on that experience that I wasn’t the body. This brought me to the study of the Course and have been teaching it ever since with great success. The Course is a great blessing to anyone desirous of awakening from the daily sleep.
